Shauna & Rohit's Sangeet Celebration | Indian Wedding Photography St. Louis

Washington University, St. Louis | Indian Wedding Photography St. Louis

What a wedding weekend! The days leading up to Shauna and Rohit's St. Louis wedding were nearly as action packed as the wedding day itself. These photos are from Thursday (the first day of their Indian wedding photography in St. Louis). The day began with a prayer ceremony for Shauna, held at her family's home, and then finished off with the sangeet, held at the Knight's Center of Washington University. Shauna and Rohit's entire wedding celebration was full of refreshingly bold colors and intricate ceremonies. And the dancing! The sangeet was so full of dancing, music, and singing. It's no exaggeration to say that the dance floor was full to the brim until the very end. These are some of our favorite photos from throughout the day on Thursday - such a beautiful day, it's hard to even begin to convey it with words. We'll let the photos speak for themselves! Can't wait to share the rest - this is just the beginning!

Venue: Knight Executive Center at Washington University

Ashley & Tyler | Windows on Washington Wedding

St. Louis, MO | Windows on Washington Wedding

Romeo and Juliet. Jane and Rochester. Scarlett and Rhett. Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy. Ashley and Tyler are officially added to my mental list of timeless couples.  We had an amazing time with their Windows on Washington wedding. Their wedding was one of those weddings that you didn't want to end. It was filled with so much laughter, love, and happiness! Ashley and Tyler's love for each other and absolute delight at getting married seeped into every aspect of their wedding day. These two are absolutely, completely, unquestionably perfect for each other. Every moment of the day was full to the brim of emotion - Windows on Washington wedding photography like no other! From Ashley's dad's toast to her walk down the aisle to the look on Tyler's face when he first saw Ashley...all of it was incredible.

In addition to being completely wonderful people, Ashley and Tyler are one gorgeous couple. Ashley was a stunning bride in a strapless gown with chiffon rosettes. She completed her elegant wedding attire with classic diamond stud earrings, sparkly silver Jimmy Choos, a Kate Spade bracelet, and a custom belt handmade by her mother. Tyler paired his tailored suit (charcoal grey with blue pin stripes!) with a navy tie and polka dot socks, but his bright red vintage Vespa was a show-stopper. And, to really be the total package, Ashley and Tyler threw one heck of a party. Their amazing band, the Charles Glenn Group, kept the dance floor FULL. Everyone, from their college friends to Ashley's 92 year old grandfather, was on the dance floor. It was incredible. Back when Ashley and Tyler were dating, they used to sample different donut shops in St. Louis on Sunday mornings. As donut devotees, they decided to serve donuts from their favorite St. Louis donut shop, John's Donuts, instead of cake.

Y'all...this one was off the charts. As a photographer, there is nothing more rewarding than photographing the love and joy that accompany a wedding. Ashley and Tyler, we wish you many, many years of happiness, love, and laughter. This is just the beginning, and what a beginning it was.

Published in the Knot Magazine: Happy Wedding Day, Ashley & Tyler!

This fun photo of Ashley and Tyler was published in this summer's edition of The Knot Magazine, complete with a darling story about how Tyler proposed. One of the things I love about this photo is that they are in their own neighborhood of Lafayette Square, riding Tyler's dearly loved motorcycle. Like many of my personal favorite photos, this image combines our imagery with elements that are important and sentimental to our couple. A winning combination.

Today, these two are getting married! Congrats, Tyler and Ashley!!

Rebecca & Alex's Missouri Botanical Gardens Reception

Rebecca and Alex have lived in China for the past nine years. The two got married about a year ago, but since they live in China, they decided to throw a reception so that they could celebrate with all of their family and closest friends back in the states. For their reception, they picked the Missouri Botanical Gardens. The Botanical Gardens are full of gorgeous greenery, lush trees, and beautiful flowers, but the unique buildings and beautiful paths make the gardens even more stunning.  On a beautiful summer evening, Rebecca and Alex renewed their vows and celebrated with all their friends and family. Rebecca and Alex have the cutest kids and a wonderful family - it was truly a pleasure to photograph their reception.

Amidst all that beauty and love, we got some unexpected and hilarious entertainment. Apparently Rebecca and Alex's reception coincided with the annual St. Louis Naked Bike Ride. Hundreds of bikers in varying stages of undress rode right town Tower Grove Avenue, visible from the pavilion's windows. Rebecca and Alex decided to take advantage of the truly unique opportunity and grab a few shots with the bikers in the background (a slow shutter speed gave us some much needed motion blur!). All in all, it was an unforgettable day for an adventurous couple. Best wishes and congratulations to Rebecca and Alex!
